February jobs:

  • Prune winter flowering plants as they finish flowering
  • Prune hardy evergreen trees and shrubs
  • Cut back overgrown bushes before the nesting season starts
  • Check all your equipment for the start of the season
  • Prepare seed beds for vegetables
     

January jobs:

  • Protect vulnerable plants, plant pots and outside taps from freezing conditions
  • Clear the ground of damp leaves (compost)
  • Make sure birds have food and water
  • Prune back vigorous climbing plants
